Editorial Process
Who reviews what at VISARIGHT, how often — and where to send corrections.
Content on immigration, residence law, and authorities is YMYL (Your Money or Your Life). An outdated paragraph or a misread requirement can mean a missed deadline, a misfiled application, or a phone call to the wrong office. That's why every published page is reviewed before and after publication — and we say openly who did it and when.
Who reviews what
The VISARIGHT editorial team is responsible for the factual accuracy of all published content. The review pattern depends on the content type:
- Services (Berlin LEA + Bürgerservice via PVOG portal): we sync daily and automatically with the official source PVOG (Portalverbund Online-Gateway). Plain-language summaries are additionally reviewed by editors before publication.
- Embassies and consulates: master data comes from the Federal Foreign Office (Auswärtiges Amt). Addresses, phone numbers, and opening hours are reconciled against the mission's official channel.
- Immigration offices: data comes from BAMF's directory (NAvI). Addresses, phone numbers, and web URLs are reviewed before publication.
- Legal texts: original-text sections come unchanged from gesetze-im-internet.de (Bundesministerium der Justiz). Plain-language (B1) versions are AI-assisted drafts that pass an editorial review before publication.
How often we review
- Automated daily: services from PVOG. If the source text changes, we regenerate the plain-language version and update the modification date.
- Manual at least every six months: spot checks across all content types. Statutory changes (new ordinance, hiring reform, etc.) trigger an immediate review before any further publication.
- On request: correction reports from readers go to the editorial team directly and are typically processed within 5 working days.
Editorial credentials
The VISARIGHT editorial team consists of immigration-law specialists who write and review content in close collaboration with attorneys specialized in migration law and former public officials from the Ausländerbehörden, BAMF, and German missions abroad. Every post is reviewed by at least two editors before publication; legally sensitive sections receive an additional review by a licensed immigration attorney.

What we do not replace
VISARIGHT is not a substitute for individual legal advice. For binding answers, contact the responsible authority, a licensed immigration attorney, or a recognized advice center. Our content is carefully researched but does not replace a case-by-case review.
