About position
We're looking for fluent English and a savvy technical writer who knows and understands the mechanics of immigration procedures in Germany.
Responsibilities
What the role involves
— Research, create, edit and update high-quality documentation and guidelines of the immigration procedures and related processes
— Work closely with Legal Operations and IT teams to translate technical information into user-friendly content
— Collaborate cross-departmentally to deliver materials that enhance the user experience
— Analyze existing and planned content
— Maintain the information architecture of the internal Knowledge Base & external Help Center

About you
— 1+ years of experience as a technical writer (ideally in immigration)
— Native-level English speaker, fluency in German
— Have experience of immigration or currently live in Germany as an expat
B.Sc./M.Sc. degree in journalism, law, business, or related field.
— Proficiency with Google Workspace products
— Excellent writing and analytical skills as well as superior research skills related to immigration law and public policy issues
— Ability to work with minimal direction toward the goals, and quickly become proficient with new tools and software.
— Passion for communication and effective collaboration
— Creative thinker with strong strategic skills
— Interest in digital communication, Software as a Service (SaaS), web services, technology, and industry trends

About us
VISARIGHT has around 40 people spread over 6+ countries in different time zones. We’re a distributed team, though we have office in Magdeburg (DE).
We care more about the things you do rather than your set working hours. Most of us work Monday - Friday from 9 UTC to 18 UTC, and ideally, you’ll overlap at least 5 hours with that. We try to be as asynchronous as possible but still feel that we need some “synchronicity” to work well.
