About position
CTO | Tech Lead
An ideal candidate should have longtime experience in hands-on positions, proven leadership skills. We are looking for a proactive individual for a full-time role to work remotely or in Magdeburg, Germany.

- Front-end: React, GraphQL Apollo;
- Back-end: Node.js, Typescript, AWS, Docker, Terraform, Serverless;

Responsibilities
What the role involves
- Leading and mentoring a cross-functional team on all technical aspects of the product
- Making technical decisions and sharing your technical knowledge to mentor the team
- Establishing processes, best practices, and coding standards
- Overseeing engineering practices and operational costs, establishing KPIs, and drive constant improvement in quality, effectivity, & efficiency
- Interviewing, hiring, and training new team members

Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in technical leadership roles coaching cross-functional teams
- 6+ years of experience in hands-on software engineering positions, preferably in SaaS companies
- Hands-on engineering experience across a range of skills including ReactJS, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, GraphQL, Typescript
- Experience leading the technical direction of engineering teams, developing strategies and work packages
- Practical experience in creating security-sensitive products
- Experience interviewing, hiring, and scaling engineering teams
- Self-motivated, proactive, and organized individual with a positive attitude
- Empowering and encouraging attitude
- 6+ years of experience in hands-on software engineering positions, preferably in SaaS companies
- Hands-on engineering experience across a range of skills including ReactJS, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, GraphQL, Typescript

How we work
About us
VISARIGHT has around 40 people spread over 6+ countries in different time zones. We’re a distributed team, though we have office in Magdeburg (DE).
We care more about the things you do rather than your set working hours. Most of us work Monday - Friday from 9 UTC to 18 UTC, and ideally, you’ll overlap at least 5 hours with that. We try to be as asynchronous as possible but still feel that we need some “synchronicity” to work well.
We value commitment, ownership, proactivity, transparency, and respect. We’re proud to have employees from many different nationalities, genders, ages and backgrounds.
