Albstadt is a Große Kreisstadt (large district town) and has its own immigration and integration authority - it is not part of the Joint Immigration Authority of the Zollernalbkreis. The district authority explicitly serves the remaining municipalities of the Zollernalbkreis without Albstadt and Bitz; if you live in Albstadt or Bitz, you turn to the immigration authority of the town of Albstadt. Residence matters, the electronic residence permit (eAT) and employment permits are handled centrally here by the town's immigration and integration authority.
