In Bayreuth there are two separate immigration authorities. The Landratsamt Bayreuth (district administration office) is only responsible if your place of residence is in the Bayreuth district. If you live in the city of Bayreuth itself, the immigration office of the city of Bayreuth (Rathaus II) is your point of contact. So what always matters is which of the two local authorities you are registered in. At the district administration office, immigration matters are organised internally into the areas of general immigration law, naturalisations and asylum law.
