Important: In the Coburg area there are two separate immigration authorities. The Landratsamt Coburg (district administration office) at Lauterer Straße 60 is only responsible for the towns and municipalities in the district (Landkreis) of Coburg - the independent city of Coburg has its own immigration authority with its own location and its own appointment booking. So before you book an appointment, check whether your place of residence belongs to the district or to the city of Coburg. Within the Landratsamt, immigration matters fall under the "Ausländer-, Staatsangehörigkeits- und Personenstandswesen" (immigration, citizenship and civil status affairs) department.
