In Coesfeld there are two different immigration offices that are often confused. For you as a resident of the Coesfeld district, the municipal immigration office (Fachdienst 32.3) in the Kreishaus at Schützenwall 18 is responsible - it handles residence permits, extensions, settlement permits, travel documents, and employment matters. Also located in Coesfeld is the Central Immigration Office (ZAB) for the entire Münster administrative region. The ZAB, however, is a separate office with statewide responsibility for people in state accommodation (return, travel documents, enforcement) and is not your point of contact for a residence permit - for that, the municipal immigration office 32.3 remains your contact.
