The Ausländerbehörde of Landkreis Diepholz operates two locations. The Syke location (Amtshof 3) is the public contact point with fixed opening hours. The Diepholz location (Niedersachsenstr. 2) has been closed to walk-in visitors since 1 February 2026 — casework continues there, however. People who show up in Syke without a prior appointment are referred to the appointment system. Responsibility by place of residence: Syke serves Syke, Stuhr, Twistringen, Weyhe, Bassum, and Bruchhausen-Vilsen; Diepholz serves Diepholz, Sulingen, Wagenfeld, Kirchdorf, Barnstorf, Lemförde, Rehden, Schwaförden, and Siedenburg.
