The Ausländerbehörde of the state capital Dresden is organized as the Department for Nationality and Foreign Affairs and has had its sole location at Lingnerallee 3 (North entrance) since May 2026. The building is divided internally by specialist units: skilled workers, foreign affairs 1 and 2, entry, exit, nationality, and asylum. The Dresden Welcome Center is integrated directly into the authority as an independent specialist unit and handles the accelerated skilled worker procedure as well as initial consultations for employers. Upon arrival, a QR code directs you to the correct floor, as each specialist unit is assigned to its own level.
