The Ausländerbehörde Gera is a department of the Gera city administration and is responsible for the independent city (kreisfreie Stadt) of Gera. Since August 2025, the office has been located at Heinrichstraße 45 (H45). Internally, there are three units: general immigration law, asylum law, and nationality law. An appointment is required for all in-person matters; collection of completed documents is handled during separate walk-in office hours without an appointment.
