The Amt für Migration (Migration Office) at the Landratsamt Greiz is the sole authority responsible for all immigration matters across the entire district. Since 1 April 2024, a newly established Amt für Migration has consolidated what was previously spread across several offices: the Ausländerbehörde, the Einbürgerungsstelle (naturalisation office), the Asylbewerberleistungsgesetz unit, and refugee accommodation are now all under one roof at Dr.-Rathenau-Platz 11 in Greiz. There is no additional location and no decentralised drop-in points.
