The Ausländerbehörde of the city of Heidelberg is a single point of contact located in the Landfriedgebäude (Bergheimer Straße 147, Entrance B) and is responsible exclusively for persons whose primary residence is within the city of Heidelberg. Anyone living in the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis (outside the city of Heidelberg) should contact the Ausländeramt of the Landratsamt Rhein-Neckar-Kreis, which is also based in Heidelberg (Kurfürstenanlage 38–40), but is an entirely separate authority.
