The Ausländeramt Herrenberg is an independent municipal authority of the Herrenberg city administration and is responsible for all persons with residence in the city of Herrenberg. For the rest of Landkreis Böblingen, matters relating to residence and citizenship law are handled by the Landratsamt Böblingen. The Herrenberg office is part of the Ordnungsamt and covers the full range of residence law including asylum law.
