The Ausländerbehörde of the Main-Spessart district is housed as the immigration and asylum law department within the Landratsamt in Karlstadt (Marktplatz 8). All matters relating to residence permits, permanent settlement permits, the EU Blue Card, and asylum law are handled centrally from that office. There is no separate branch office exclusively for immigration matters — the main office in Karlstadt is responsible for the entire district, including Lohr am Main and Marktheidenfeld. The Landratsamt branch offices in Lohr and Marktheidenfeld offer general administrative services, but do not operate a separate immigration counter.
