The Ausländerbehörde of the state capital Magdeburg is housed at a single location in the Neustädter Höfe (Lübecker Straße 53–63, Building 1). Within this building there are separate waiting areas and departments: the "International House" is the section specifically for international skilled workers, students, and researchers, with its own dedicated spaces. Alongside this there are departments for employment, study and training, humanitarian residence, nationality, as well as return counselling and tolerated stay — all under one roof at Lübecker Straße.
