The district of Osnabrück (Landkreis Osnabrück) operates its own separate Ausländerbehörde (Willkommensbehörde) with its own online appointment system for the surrounding municipalities of the district. The accelerated skilled-worker procedure has not been handled by the city's Ausländerbehörde since January 2026; it is now processed exclusively by the central office at the Landesaufnahmebehörde Niedersachsen (LAB NI) in Osnabrück.
