The Kreisverwaltung Südwestpfalz operates a single central Ausländerbehörde in Pirmasens (Unterer Sommerwaldweg 40-42). It is responsible for all residents of the seven Verbandsgemeinden in the district. The city of Pirmasens (kreisfreie Stadt) has its own Ausländerbehörde (Stadtverwaltung Pirmasens, Ordnungsamt) and does not fall within the jurisdiction of the Kreisverwaltung.
