The Amt für Integration und Migration (Office for Integration and Migration) of the City of Regensburg (Maximilianstraße 26) comprises three departments: The Ausländerangelegenheiten (Foreign Nationals Affairs) department is responsible for all third-country nationals with ordinary residence in the City of Regensburg and handles all residence law matters. The Willkommenskultur und Integration (Welcome Culture and Integration) department offers orientation counseling and initial information for newcomers, but is not an independent contact point for residence law matters. Anyone living in the Landkreis Regensburg (outside the city limits) should contact the separate Ausländeramt of the Landkreis Regensburg.
