The city administration of Rheinstetten had its own immigration authority until the end of January 2024. Since 1 February 2024, the Landratsamt Karlsruhe has taken over all residence and asylum-related responsibilities for Rheinstetten. The city council approved this step unanimously in August 2023. For residents of Rheinstetten, the Landratsamt Karlsruhe (Kriegsstraße 100, 76133 Karlsruhe) is now the responsible immigration authority.
