The Ausländerbehörde of the city of Rottweil (Große Kreisstadt) is an independent authority located in the Rathaus and responsible for residents with foreign nationality in the city of Rottweil. The city and district of Rottweil signed a public-law agreement in spring 2026 to establish a joint office: from October 2026, both Ausländerbehörden will be organisationally consolidated under the roof of the Landratsamt (Marienstraße 2, 78628 Rottweil), but will for the time being remain legally independent. Residents of the rest of the district (excluding the city of Rottweil) fall under the jurisdiction of the Ausländerbehörde of the Landratsamt Rottweil.
