Schweinfurt has two separate Ausländerbehörden. If you live in the independent city of Schweinfurt (kreisfreie Stadt), contact the city's Ausländerbehörde (Brückenstr. 14 or Referat III, Markt 1). If you live in the Schweinfurt district (Landkreis), the responsible office is the Ausländeramt at the Landratsamt (Schrammstr. 1). The two authorities are organizationally and physically separate. The Zentrale Ausländerbehörde (ZAB) of the Regierung von Unterfranken in Geldersheim handles asylum seekers only and is not responsible for regular residence matters.
