The Ausländerbehörde Speyer (Department 220) is the responsible authority for all residents of the independent city of Speyer. A separate department (222) handles exclusively the residents of the state initial reception facility and is not open to the general public. The accelerated skilled-worker procedure is not processed on site but is handled by the Central Ausländerbehörde for Skilled-Worker Immigration Rhineland-Palatinate in Kaiserslautern, which is responsible for the entire federal state.
