The foreigners affairs unit (Fachgebiet Ausländerangelegenheiten) of Landkreis Nordwestmecklenburg is located at a single site in Wismar (Rostocker Straße 76). All residence-law matters for the entire district are handled there. Naturalisation enquiries go through a dedicated email address but are assigned to the same unit. A separate Welcome Service Center for international skilled workers exists at the economic development agency WfG NWM, but it is not a branch of the foreigners authority.
