If you have a frontier worker permit (Grenzgängerkarte), you do not need a residence title. You are permitted to enter Germany and stay there. You are permitted to carry out the employment activity specified in your frontier worker permit.
Inhaber von Grenzgängerkarten sind für die Einreise, den Aufenthalt und für die in der Grenzgängerkarte bezeichnete Erwerbstätigkeit im Bundesgebiet vom Erfordernis eines Aufenthaltstitels befreit.
