General granting requirements do not apply to you

You did not need a visa for entry. Securing your livelihood is also not a requirement. The general rules from Section 5 do not apply under Section 24.

The residence permit can also be granted for a longer period

Your residence permit does not have to be valid exactly until the protection end date. The authority can also grant it for a longer period. This is at the discretion of the authority.

Entry was possible at any time after February 24, 2022

There is no time limit for entering Germany. You could enter at any time after February 24, 2022 and apply for protection. This also applies to persons who fled later.

The EU Council has extended temporary protection again. Your residence permit can now be valid until March 4, 2027. The original decision from 2022 continues to apply until then.

Even after the extension of your residence permit, the residence regulation continues to apply. You cannot freely choose your place of residence. You must generally continue to live in Berlin.

Has your residence permit expired and you need a new one? Then no new distribution decision is required. The authority issues the new residence permit with a residence regulation for Berlin.
