§ 6 AsylbLG: Other benefits

Additional benefits may be granted in individual cases if they are:
- Essential to secure basic subsistence or health.
- Necessary to meet the special needs of children.
- Required to fulfil an administrative duty to cooperate.
These benefits are generally provided as benefits in kind. In special circumstances, they may be paid as a cash payment.
Persons holding a residence permit under Section 24 of the Residence Act and who have special needs will receive the necessary medical or other assistance. This applies, for example, to unaccompanied minors or victims of torture or violence.
(1) Sonstige Leistungen können insbesondere gewährt werden, wenn sie im Einzelfall zur Sicherung des Lebensunterhalts oder der Gesundheit unerläßlich, zur Deckung besonderer Bedürfnisse von Kindern geboten oder zur Erfüllung einer verwaltungsrechtlichen Mitwirkungspflicht erforderlich sind. Die Leistungen sind als Sachleistungen, bei Vorliegen besonderer Umstände als Geldleistung zu gewähren.
(2) Personen, die eine Aufenthaltserlaubnis gemäß § 24 Abs. 1 des Aufenthaltsgesetzes besitzen und die besondere Bedürfnisse haben, wie beispielsweise unbegleitete Minderjährige oder Personen, die Folter, Vergewaltigung oder sonstige schwere Formen psychischer, physischer oder sexueller Gewalt erlitten haben, wird die erforderliche medizinische oder sonstige Hilfe gewährt.
