Obligation of Port and Airport Operators (§ 65 AufenthG)
The operator of a port or of a commercial airport has an important obligation.
They must provide suitable accommodation on the port grounds or on the airport grounds. This accommodation is for foreigners who:
- do not have a required passport, or
- do not have a required visa.
These persons stay there until the border police have decided on their entry.
