Cooperation with external service providers
German diplomatic missions can cooperate with external service providers for national visa applications. This is possible under Article 43 of Regulation (EC) No 810/2009.
This also applies to visa applications from family members:
- Spouses or civil partners
- Minor unmarried children
Requirement: The marriage or civil partnership must have already existed when the foreigner moved to Germany. The family relationship must also have already existed.
