§ 24 BeschV: Shipping and aviation

Shipping and air transport
For the following persons, the immigration office does not need approval:
- Crews of seagoing vessels in international traffic
- Sea pilots licensed under the Sea Pilots Act
- Technical personnel on inland waterway vessels and in cross-border traffic the service and catering staff on passenger ships
- Crews of aircraft at companies based in Germany. Exception: This exemption does not apply to pilots, flight engineers, and flight navigators.
Keiner Zustimmung bedarf die Erteilung eines Aufenthaltstitels an
- 1.die Mitglieder der Besatzungen von Seeschiffen im internationalen Verkehr,
- 2.die nach dem Seelotsgesetz für den Seelotsendienst zugelassenen Personen,
- 3.das technische Personal auf Binnenschiffen und im grenzüberschreitenden Verkehr das für die Gästebetreuung erforderliche Bedienungs- und Servicepersonal auf Personenfahrgastschiffen oder
- 4.die Besatzungen von Luftfahrzeugen mit Ausnahme der Luftfahrzeugführerinnen und Luftfahrzeugführer, Flugingenieurinnen und Flugingenieure sowie Flugnavigatorinnen und Flugnavigatoren bei Unternehmen mit Sitz im Inland.
