§ 7a Security deposit

Security deposit
If you have assets (as defined in § 7 para. 1 sentence 1 AsylbLG), the office can demand a security deposit from you. This is a kind of pledge for the benefits that you and your family receive.
The office can demand the security deposit directly without prior warning. It does not need a threat of enforcement.
Von Leistungsberechtigten kann wegen der ihnen und ihren Familienangehörigen zu gewährenden Leistungen nach diesem Gesetz Sicherheit verlangt werden, soweit Vermögen im Sinne von § 7 Abs. 1 Satz 1 vorhanden ist. Die Anordnung der Sicherheitsleistung kann ohne vorherige Vollstreckungsandrohung im Wege des unmittelbaren Zwangs erfolgen.
