§ 8a Reporting obligation

Obligation to report employment
If you start a job, you must report it to the office. This applies to:
- Employed work (dependent employment)
- Self-employed work (independent employment)
Deadline: You must report the work no later than the 3rd day after starting the job. Report to the responsible authority.
Leistungsberechtigte, die eine unselbständige oder selbständige Erwerbstätigkeit aufnehmen, haben dies spätestens am dritten Tag nach Aufnahme der Erwerbstätigkeit der zuständigen Behörde zu melden.
