Calculation of Residence Periods (§ 85 AufenthG)
Interruptions of your lawful residence of up to 1 year can be disregarded. This means: If you were not lawfully in Germany for less than 1 year, the time before that still counts.
Unterbrechungen der Rechtmäßigkeit des Aufenthalts bis zu einem Jahr können außer Betracht bleiben.
