§ 36 AufenthV: Exemption from consent requirement for official stays of members of foreign armed forces
This text was rewritten into plain language (B1 level) automatically and may contain errors. Only the official German statute is authoritative — when in doubt, read the original text below or consult a lawyer.
No Approval Required for Official Stays
Members of foreign armed forces and their civilian staff do not need approval from the Federal Employment Agency for official stays. This applies to stays based on intergovernmental agreements. The stays must be within the scope of official duties.
